Lei, 52, born in neighboring Jiangxi Province, started his career as a typography printer when he finished his apprenticeship with his uncle who he followed since he was 17. The traditional printing method witnessed an increasingly hard time in the recent years as a livelihood. It was in 2017 when he decided to move to Chanshan at the invitation of Kai Yuanhong, a local cabinet maker, to cooperate in a broader way. Lei is now working with the traditional technique in a larger scale.
