18 students from Fourah Bay College (FBC), IPAM and College of Medicine (COMAHS) the Chinese Ambassador Scholarship to further their studies.

This Scholarship is awarded in recognition of excellence in academics to improve China-Sierra Leone friendship.

Sahr said 30 students applied for the scholarship and 18 of them were successful this year, they will make the universities proud as well as the Chinese Ambassador.Two students received the China-Sierra Leone Friendship Award and both received the sum of $2,000 each. Six other students received Outstanding Academic Achievement Award worth $1,000 each. The remaining 10 students received $500 each for the Promising Youth Award.
