Historical evolution

The school was established on July 4, 2011 by the merger of the former Shandong Institute of Economics and the former Shandong Institute of Finance, and was officially unveiled on June 9, 2012. Shandong College of Finance and Economics, the predecessor of Shandong College of Economics, was founded in 1952. During the Cultural Revolution, Shandong Institute of Finance and Economics interrupted running schools. The school has four campuses in Jinan, Yanshan, ShunGeng, Shengjing and Mingshui, covering an area of 3264 mu.
