In 1952, Shenyang University of Chemical Technology came into being with the glorious mission of revitalizing the chemical industry of New China. In 1960, in order to meet the needs of the prosperity and development of national industry and the rise of new disciplines, the school was renamed Liaoning University of Science and Technology, affiliated to the Chinese Academy of Sciences; in 1962, in order to adapt to the great development of the national chemical industry, the affiliation relationship of the school was changed to the Ministry of Chemical Industry; in 1998, the management system of the national universities was adjusted, and the school was co-constructed by the central and local governments, taking local management as its role Lord.
