Zhejiang Industrial and Commercial University is located in Hangzhou, the capital city of Zhejiang Province, with beautiful scenery. Its predecessor was Hangzhou Secondary Business School founded in 1911. At the beginning of its establishment, it was the pioneer of business education in our province and one of the earliest commercial specialized schools in our country. Hangzhou Business College was established in 1980 with the approval of the State Council and renamed Zhejiang Business University with the approval of the Ministry of Education in 2004. Over the past hundred years, the school has been adhering to the tradition of running schools in business. Especially since 1998, when the former directly affiliated institutions of the Ministry of Commerce were changed to "co-construction between the central and local governments, with local management as the main", the school has adhered to the road of running schools with characteristics, with economics and management as the main disciplines, law and engineering as the main disciplines developing in a coordinated manner, and the level of running schools has been continuously improved. In 2015, the school was designated as a joint University of the Zhejiang Provincial People's Government, the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Education.
