Jiangsu Architectural Vocational and Technical College is a full-time public university in Jiangsu Province, a national demonstration vocational college, and a high-level vocational college construction unit in Jiangsu Province. The school is located in Xuzhou, one of the three metropolitan areas in Jiangsu Province and the central city of Huaihai Economic Zone. The predecessor of the school is the Third Technical School of Infrastructure Engineers, which was approved by the State Council and the Central Military Commission in 1979. In July 1983, the school was assigned to the former Ministry of Coal Industry and renamed Xuzhou Coal Construction Engineering School. In 1998, the school was placed under the management of Jiangsu Provincial People's Government. In July 1999, it was upgraded to Xuzhou Construction Vocational and Technical College with the approval of the Ministry of Education. In January 2011, the school was renamed Jiangsu Vocational and Technical College of Architecture.
